June 9, 2017 - June 13, 2017
Kaiser Permanente is proud to be a sponsor of the 2017 California Climate Ride. The breathtaking route along California’s Central Coast will take place over five days with participants riding from San Francisco to San Luis Obispo. Riders will raise funds to combat climate change and raise awareness about environmental issues.
Though the ride is now full, you can sign up for the waitlist. You can also still support support climate, conservation, and active transportation with a donation.
The ride offers multiple routes to accommodate a variety of ability levels. Riders cover a total of 245 to 297 miles, averaging 54 miles a day, with multiple daily mileage options.
The ride will end with a picnic lunch in historic San Luis Obispo, after which shuttle buses are available for return trips to both the San Francisco Bay Area and Los Angeles.
Riders are required to fundraise a minimum of $2,800 by June 2, 2017. Donors can choose from a list of more than 100 environmental organizations, which are carefully selected for their work on environment, conservation, clean energy, sustainability, transportation advocacy, and climate education.
